Ladies Day – 2017

On Saturday, February 18th, the ladies hosted their annual Ladies Day at Youngsport with 28 ladies in attendance..  This year’s speaker was Wendy Rutledge from North Texas.  This was an opportunity for our ladies and their guest to come together to have fellowship with one another, giving and receiving encouragement and looking into God’s Word to find answers and support.  The theme was “Selfless in Serving”.  The discussion included an activity called “Make Me A Servant Workshop” that contained two exercises.  The first, dealing with Personal Skills using Matthew 25:15 as reference and a Talents Inventory and the second, a Talent Scout Worksheet with Acts 9:11 as its point.  Wendy provided the ladies with 10 tips for keeping yourself organized to help them be more hospitable with the idea of Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:8 and 1 Peter 4:9.  Lunch was provided following the discussion.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to Wendy for speaking at our Ladies Day and providing the excellent topic on how we can serve our Lord.

1 Peter 4:10:  As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Mark 8:34-35:  And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose hi life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.

1 Corinthians 2:1-2:And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.  For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
